Catch Us If You Can!!!

Posted by Ted Wednesday, September 19, 2012 11:20:00 AM

2012 has been an exciting and busy year for Plaid Anxiety...but also a very fun year. We're still out there promoting The Spectrum online and at live shows, but the colder months are approaching and we generally start winding things down for the year soon. A few more scattered shows are in the works. The Spectral Tour is not over until 2012 is over!!! We would like to thank everyone who has supported us through this tour and the release of The Spectrum, though. We've had a great response from friends, family, fans and lots of new fans as well, which we always love to see!!! the big surprise for us was the response to the song "Gotchoo". That song barely even made it on to the CD. It was a joke song initially, but we liked it and decided it could go on the CD as filler. The people have spoken, though, and "Gotchoo" is what they like. We aim to please, so we will deliver. :o)

On a side note, we are VERY excited with the progress we have made on next year's CD. At least 3 songs are in the writing stages right now and they are definitely touching on styles and genres we've never even considered in the past, but we are making it work and we think this CD will be even better than The Spectrum. We're not gonna toot our own horns, though. We'll let you guys and gals be the judge on that. Keep checking back and thank you for all of your support so far!!!

Well, the out of state string of The 2012 Spectral Tour has completed and we even did a few last minute Open Mic night shows locally, but we are far from done with the 2012 Tour as a whole. We currently have 2 shows fast approaching and others in the works....as well as plans for some more Open Mic gigs.

In the meantime, we have already begun work on the next CD because we are overflowing with ideas. Might be tough to top what we did on The Spectrum, but we are going to try!!! Speaking of The Spectrum, due to time constraints, it is still not available for online purchase, but it won't be long. We will keep you posted.

Keep checking back for details on our Events page and News page for details on upcoming shows and Plaid news in general!!! As always, thank you for the support!!!!

Friday, July 20th 2012 is only a couple of days away and the new Plaid Anxiety CD "The Spectrum" is impatiently waiting to be released. We ran across so many issues along the road of putting this CD together, but alas it will be ready for the public on time. Unfortunately due to recording and production issues, this release will not be available online until after Friday, but if you just can't wait for a hard copy, come to the CD Release & Spectral Tour Kickoff Show this Friday at JAD's Caddyshack in Essex, MD. We will soon be posting new songs from the CD online and updating our Facebook Page from the road, so if you are interested in knowing what is going on in the world of Plaid....keep checking for updates. And don't forget to follow us on Twitter!!! Thanks for your support!!!

As Heard On The Dr. Demento Show

Posted by Ted Monday, July 2, 2012 1:38:00 PM

As we have now hit Mid-Summer and the release of the new Plaid Anxiety CD "The Spectrum" grows closer, some interesting and exciting news came to light this past week regarding the band. Our "single" from last year's AUTOPILOT CD, "My High School Crush Is A Lesbian" was played on the Dr. Demento Show. This quite an honor for the band and a potentially good stepping stone for notoriety. If you are not familiar with Dr. Demento or his history in radio, please take a moment to Google him up and visit his web site at www.drdemento.com to learn a little bit behind the legend himself.

In more recent news, The Spectral Tour is pretty much booked and the physical release of "The Spectrum" is set for Friday, July 20th at our CD Release Party. See our Events page for more details on where we will be playing. Online sales should start before July 20th and you will probably hear our first song off the CD in the next week. Thank you for the support and we hope to see you out there "On The Road".
