In the meantime, we have already begun work on the next CD because we are overflowing with ideas. Might be tough to top what we did on The Spectrum, but we are going to try!!! Friday, July 20th 2012 is only a couple of days away and the new Plaid Anxiety CD "The Spectrum" is impatiently waiting to be released. We ran across so many issues along the road of putting this CD together, but alas it will be ready for the public on time. Unfortunately due to recording and production issues, this release will not be available online until after Friday, but if you just can't wait for a hard copy, come to the CD Release & Spectral Tour Kickoff Show this Friday at JAD's Caddyshack in Essex, MD. We will soon be posting new songs from the CD online and updating our Facebook Page from the road, so if you are interested in knowing what is going on in the world of Plaid....keep checking for updates. As Heard On The Dr. Demento Show

Posted by Ted Monday, July 2, 2012 1:38:00 PM

As we have now hit Mid-Summer and the release of the new Plaid Anxiety CD "The Spectrum" grows closer, some interesting and exciting news came to light this past week regarding the band. Our "single" from last year's AUTOPILOT CD, "My High School Crush Is A Lesbian" was played on the Dr. Demento Show. This quite an honor for the band and a potentially good stepping stone for notoriety. If you are not familiar with Dr. Demento or his history in radio, please take a moment to Google him up and visit his web site at to learn a little bit behind the legend himself.

In more recent news, The Spectral Tour is pretty much booked and the physical release of "The Spectrum" is set for Friday, July 20th at our CD Release Party. See our Events page for more details on where we will be playing. Online sales should start before July 20th and you will probably hear our first song off the CD in the next week. Thank you for the support and we hope to see you out there "On The Road".

Curious Post Title, eh? This describes the first 3 tracks of the new Plaid Anxiety CD, "The Spectrum". Just a bit of a teaser for you.

We are finished recording all of the music for the new release and currently working on recording the vocal tracks and mixdown. Seems to be flowing quite well so far and we are very pleased with this album. We hope you will be as well. 13 new songs...and as usual, a broad span of styles. That's how Plaid rolls. We should have the first "single" finished in the next couple of weeks and the entire CD is looking at a mid to late June release online. Please keep checking back for specifics on that.

We are also coordinating another Mini-Tour to promote the release of "The Spectrum" in mid-late July. We had so much fun on the 2011 AUTOPILOT Tour that we just had to do it again. We will keep you posted on those dates as they develop.

As always, thank you for the support and we look forward to seeing you this Summer and sharing what we love to music and be Plaid.

The Spectrum

It has been decided that the new Plaid Anxiety CD/Release will be called "The Spectrum". We've been working hard to provide some great new material for this release and we're truly excited for the songs we have already written and the ones we are still writing. There may even be a few that have not even been conjured up just yet. Tentatively, there will be between 11-15 songs on the CD and naturally some bonus material for B-Sides and live performances, but we will keep you posted on all of that as it comes together.

"The Spectrum" is certain to portray what Plaid Anxiety has been striving toward for all of our years as musicians/performers as it contains a wide variety of styles, experiments and sounds to ensure we deliver something for everyone. And, of course, we will be planning some local live shows for this Spring/Summer, but also the possibility of a "Spectral Tour" is in keep checking back for the latest news on Plaid Anxiety and The Spectrum. always...thank you for your continued support!!
